Because I'm utterly bored, waiting for my gel to run/stain/destain, and I'm the last frikken person here in my ENTIRE DEPARTMENT...

If you had me under your command and could make me write anything fandom-y no matter how crack-addled it might be, what would you love to see me write?

Tell me, and maybe while I'm in the Big Empty that is north west Iowa I'll drabble.

(My fest fic's almost done, and there's a b-day fic that'll probably be posted late because I can't post porn from my inlaws' computer, but otherwise, I'm clear.)

Necessary iconage. TDS/TCR return in Jan!!!!!

Misery loves company. I take heart that I won't be alone in visiting in-laws who live in bum-fuck nowhere. I'm off to Ohio tomorrow.

Yay TDS/TCR return in Jan!!!!!

I am very curious about the content, since they're returning w/o writers.

I think inlaws are required to live somewhere inconvenient.

There's NOTHING close to where mine live. Nothing. Minneapolis is >3 hours away, Omaha is about 5 hours in the opposite direction. I wonder sometimes if they could be described as literally living in the middle of nowhere.

It's cold in Iowa right now. Which, OK, I sorta miss winter, tbh. But they heat their house with a wood stove. Which means that the interior of the house drops to temperatures I consider unacceptable during the night, and it's someone's job to be the first up and stoke the fire. (The first time I stayed with them, I was uncomfortably reminded of Little House on the Prairie.)

Me too. Even if those guys just go on and chat off the top of their heads, I bet the content would be decent. At least the pols won't get of scot-free anymore. And plenty of staff will still have jobs.

You win. My in-laws live near Dayton. But seriously, it's Dayton. The last time we went there for Christmas, know what we did for fun? We went to fucking White Castle. My husband felt I should experience the nausea enducing tradition that is a White Castle sandwich. Wheee... fun.
I have since thought of that are as a sort of Hell, cold though it may be. But now, I think your Iowa destination might be a lower ring of Hell. This girl can't handle desolation. I was raised in a resort are and then moved to L.A. I must have nightlife!!! Or i die. :3

Believe me, that's one contest I'd rather NOT win!

They think nothing of driving 90 miles to go out to dinner. In fucking Sioux Falls, SD, the closest town (and I use that word with reservations) of any size. Plus, it's SOUTH DAKOTA, and I hate to spend any money there after the shit they pulled with Planned Parenthood/abortion.

White Castle? I thought those were a myth. :p
